Joining us on the podcast today is Allison Malik, the Executive Director of the new Commission on the Future of Mobility, a Washington, D.C. think tank that is looking at everything from electric vehicles to charging infrastructure to public transit,

solving the global mobility challenges ahead.

But first Leslie, another busy week, obviously we've got news from Gattick Argo and of course it's snowing outside and we've got a massive energy problem in Texas.

Oh yes, now as for this snow I have to be honest I went online just out of curiosity to see if there's such a thing as an autonomous snow blower.

I mean we cover autonomous vehicles a lot on this podcast and yes. autonomous I'm not sure if this is practical for the average household but you never know I mean everything kind of starts off expensive and hard to get but once it starts to make its way through society

who knows maybe there'll be one in every garage. That's what I'm

hoping for because I know I am tired of shoveling snow paint. And we are very happy for our listeners who are in warm weather climates.

Of course, warm weather climate is a relative term nowadays, I mean, especially given

what happened in Texas.

Have you been keeping up with that, Pete? That was really such a sad development in Texas.

It really is. And I've got family down there and we've been kind of keeping in touch and wondering about

whether they have heat, whether they have water.

But the bigger picture is, what does this mean

for the energy grid?

And obviously, you know, we talk a lot about electric vehicles and you know I think
