I remember when I had a 1967 Cougar, and it was really fast, and I was still a teenager,

so I thought speed limits were just recommendations for old people.

I might have been a little bit of street racing back then, and one time I took a turn

and hit a curve, and I thought I survived it, but the next day my car was just shaking

everywhere.

And I had really not studied that much about cars other than how to make them go fast

and how to break before you hit something else, and quickly I discovered that my car

had an alignment, and it had been misaligned, an out-of-alignment because of the unexpected

difficult blow that I directed it straight into.

I made the choice and didn't realize that the outcome would be a terrible misalignment

of the infrastructure of my car.

It cost me so much more than I could have imagined.

But years later, I was playing someone on one basketball with David Arcos, who were

just playing out, and now I'm having some fun, and I was almost 35 years old and I could

still dunk a basketball because my body was still capable of that.

I went up for just a little playful dunk, and David decided to just step right under

me, and when I came down, I landed flat-footed, and I felt something jar in my back.
