1:13.6	The prospect of a large-scale roundup of undocumented immigrants is a horrifying scene right out of authoritarian regimes,
1:22.6	and it would likely produce an indelible stain on our history as a beacon of freedom in a hostile world.
1:31.6	Since the election, Team Trump has repeatedly reaffirmed its sweeping plans,
1:36.7	signaling an approach that goes far beyond targeting low-hanging fruit like individuals
1:42.1	already slated for deportation or violent criminals.
1:46.0	Instead, they appear poised to implement a more indiscriminate and hard-line process,
1:53.0	one that could reach deep into communities nationwide, uproot families,
1:58.0	and create sprawling detention centers for the apprehended.
2:02.7	But there are labyrinthine legal requirements before you can just kick even an illegal
2:07.7	immigrant out of the country. So the real question is, how far Trump and his hardliners,
2:13.8	particularly Stephen Miller and Tom Homan, are willing to go to push their agenda.
2:20.3	If they choose a path of extreme measures, they'll face fierce resistance from an army of immigrant rights advocates
2:27.3	ready to push back against the administration's most aggressive actions.
