ago, the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi led a small delegation, a congressional delegation,

on a trip to Kiev. She met with the Ukrainian president, Volodemir Zelensky. She spent

about three hours on the ground in the Capitol. Pelosi is now the highest-ranking U.S.

official to visit Kiev since the start of the war in February. This comes about a week

after the Defense Secretary, Lloyd Austin, and the Secretary of the war in February. This comes about a week after the Defense Secretary

Lloyd Austin and the Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, met with Zelenskyy in Kiev. Pelosi spoke

while in Kiev and then later after returning to Poland.

We believe that we are visiting you to say thank you for your fight for freedom, that we are on a frontier freedom, and that your fight is a fight for everyone.

And so our commitment is to be there for you until the fight is done.
