Good morning. It is Sunday, June the 5th. I'm Ali Valshi. The people of Uvaldi, Texas,

are still mourning and searching

for answers nearly two weeks after an 18-year-old gunman killed 19 children and two teachers

at Rob Elementary School. The families of those victims, as well as the survivors of the shooting,

continue to grapple with the massive failures of law enforcement, and perhaps more importantly, the vice

grip in which the gun industry holds America and its lawmakers.

Legal actions have been filed against Daniel Defense, the manufacturer of the AR-15-style

rifle that the gunman used in the shooting.

One of those petitions was filed by the school staff member, whom police

had previously and wrongly claimed left open a door that the shooter used to enter the building,

while another was filed by the family of Amory Joe Garza, a 10-year-old student who was killed in the
