Hey gang and welcome back to Short Stories for Kids.

I am here with another great story to read you all.

I hope you guys are doing well.

So today we have a request from two foster sisters named Ali and Taylin.

And Taylin is blind and has autism and really enjoys your stories.

Today we would love one about the two of them.

And Ali requested a story about mermaid princesses.

So here we go.

Ali and Taylin have been looking forward to a trip to the beach for so long.

And now finally here they were.

The trip was particularly special for Taylin who was both autistic and blind.

Her foster sister Ali helped her remove her shoes and socks and then took her hand

as they stepped on to the sand.

Although Taylin could not see, she could smell the salty air, hear the crash of the waves

and feel the golden sand between her toes.

It was a long beach with very few people around, almost like they had it to themselves.

Come on Taylin, let's get our feet wet.

They stripped down to their swimsuits before waiting out to above their knees, hand in hand.

Taylin laughed at the gentle waves pushed past her.

The water wasn't too cold either and they was soon splashing and giggling together.

Suddenly Ali stopped very still.
