So a gigantic merger, potentially in the works, Comcast has announced that it will take over Time Warner Cable for $45.2 billion. This would create an even bigger behemist in cable and broadband than it already is.

And of course, this is very polarizing. There's going to be a ton of controversy. Why don't you start to explain why?

First of all, cable companies already have regional monopolies. So this would create something of a national monopoly. The combined company

would have about 30 million subscribers. So even though there is no overlapping market right now

between Comcast and TimeWarrant cable, it would create a larger monopoly nationally.
