In September of 2017, a 20 year old woman went missing after a house party in Illinois.

Just three weeks earlier, she had been a victim of human trafficking in California,

but was able to escape her abductors and return home safely.

So does her disappearance have anything to do with this terrifying incident or was someone from the house party involved?

This is the story of Alexis Scott.

Alexis Camry Scott was born on May 20, 1997 in Peoria, Illinois, which is about three hours southwest of Chicago and it's situated along the Illinois River.

She grew up around multiple brothers and sisters and her mother April remembers them as a close family and Alexis as a vibrant and happy child.

April's favorite part of her daughter's childhood were the very elaborate birthday parties that she used to throw for her.

And about these, April said quote, I always loved having a surprise for her every year, a surprise party.

Every year, I decorated the house and had a fresh cake and every year Alexis was surprised. She just loved it.

In July of 2015, when Alexis was 18, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy that she named Tevin.
