The story of the Alec Murdoch double murder case,

we did extensive coverage of the Alec Murdoch double murder case, we did extensive coverage of the

2023 trial.

We spoke with jurors who were on all sides of the question about whether or not it was a fair

trial.

I interviewed Buster Murdoch, the one surviving family member after the murder of his mother and his brother Paul and his father is surviving, I should say, but incarcerated for life, both on the double murder charge of killing his wife and his son Paul, and then extensive financial crimes, which in and of themselves could mean that he spends the rest of his life in prison.

You know, throughout the coverage of this, we talked a lot about the family.

We talked to the attorneys on both sides.

It got an enormous amount of attention.

And after the trial was over, there were suggestions that the county clerk,

Becky Hill, had tried to persuade the jurors in the job that she was doing where she was

supposed to be kind of counseling them on how it all worked. The suggestion was that she went

further than that.

She ended up pleading guilty to obstruction of justice and perjury for misconduct related

to this trial.

Now, the defense argues that her actions, including her comments to the jurors,

compromised the integrity of the proceedings, and that while they say Alec Murdoch admitted to being a thief,

a liar, a drug addict, and a man who stole millions from his clients, he continues to maintain

that he is not a killer, despite the fact that the jury found him guilty in both of those murders.
