Tonight, we're diving into one of the most infamous criminal cases in American history, at least recent American

history, the murders of Maggie and Paul Murdoch and the stunning downfall of a once

untouchable Southern Dynasty. Alec Murdoch wants a powerful South Carolina lawyer. He's currently

serving two life sentences for those murders, plus 80 years for a maze of financial crimes.

But the story appears to be nowhere near over.

His defense team led by the legendary Dick Harputlian has now filed their final appellate briefs with the South Carolina Supreme Court arguing the trial was riddled

with jury tampering. You remember Becky Hill, of course, undisclosed evidence, forensic failures,

and that clerk of court who now faces misconduct and perjury charges. At the same time,

a longtime Murdoch family housekeeper has publishers planning to publish a

bombshell memoir claiming she saw troubling details at the crime scene and was never ever interviewed
