absolute honor to welcome back onto the show, paramedic, EMS coordinator, and the woman behind

emergency resilience, Alex Jaber. Now, the first conversation we had was in October 2020, and areas

of her expertise include death notification and mental health.

So as you can imagine, two plus years later as we emerged from the pandemic, this was an

incredible conversation. Not only did we dive into that perspective when it came to so many

paramedics, doctors and nurses that are exposed to the multiple deaths that we had,

we also transition into her new work. Now, Alex has just finished her PhD and her dissertation

was on the application of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy when it comes to mental health in the

fire service. So we discuss a host of topics from stigmas and fallacies around ketamine, therapeutic

application, the success in the mental health world with this drug, her own personal

experience, and so much more.
