On this program, Debbie Milman talks with designer Alex Center

about his career working for the beverage brand Vitamin Water and where his love for

brands comes from.

When I was growing up in the 90s I felt like the brands that I loved were somehow getting me to wear these brands and to love these brands.

And I am fascinated by that and I want to be a part of it.

Here's Debbie Melman. Here are a few facts about Alex Center. He interned as a

designer for the New York mix and has a low opinion of Isaiah Thomas. He lives in Brooklyn.

The rap artist 50 Cent once told him,

you must think you're pretty special, which made him sweat.

He occasionally does improv comedy.

He also works for Coca-Cola as their lead designer for brands like Vitamin Water,

Smart Water, and Power Aid, all of which brings him here to talk to me today.
