I think of him as being one of the great talkers in American television, theater, and film.

He's able to take characters who express themselves verbally and find all the flaws in those characters.

He also happens to be a really interesting man in terms of the way he works, the women, directed Meryl Streep and the seduction of Joe Tynan.
