When we were kids during the school year, we were really

indebted to the weather people whenever they would cancel school. Remember like watching the weather just

keeping track of it when there was a storm that may be coming through. Well, we would often

bank on snow and we'd call it the bank. Yeah, so we said bank open tonight. And it was the night before we had a big

test or a project or something or anything or just anything. I just being not going to school.

But the stakes were always higher when there was something

important at school the next day that we weren't prepared for in some way. Yeah, then the bank would be open

and if there's any snow in the forecast for that night, never in my life have I been more

religious than on a February night when I was a school-aged person. The night before an important day in school.

The worst is when the weather person would be like, yep, snow, it looks like it's definitely snowing.

You're like, oh great. So you totally bang out of you don't do any of the work and the next day you wake up.

And it's a sunny day. Drives a bone. That was, I missed those times. Even though those nights provided

indescribable anxiety, I still weirdly missed them. I know. Yeah, it was just more innocent.

It was when the stakes were so high but for something that was ultimately pretty safe.
