Instead, I'm going to just catch you up on a few things that's been going on in my life.

For those of you who have been listening to the previous podcasts, you probably know that your boy reclassman has a girlfriend.

0:19.0

Her name is Betty and she is so damn fine. She's like, pat, pat, pat, pat, dude.

0:25.0

From head to toe, man. She lives in London or as they like to call it.

0:30.0

Oh, my, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.

We met a couple months ago when I was in the UK. She came back to Los Angeles for work and ended up extending your stay for a month and a half.

0:42.0

And she just went home a couple of days ago. So this is the first time I've been alone since I haven't been single.

0:50.0

I sure, I sure hope she ain't listening to this because all I've been doing is eating chocolate, eating Chinese food, watching movies, finding a whole bunch of random little black lady socks and doing a lot of laundry and rearranging tampons.

1:08.0

Fellas, you know, I don't want to do too much stand up here, but you know, when you're living with your girl, right, and all of a sudden you got tampons and pussy pads all over the place.

1:17.0

1:29.0

I didn't know that they would be an issue. And the truth is they're not an issue. The only reason it's an issue is because I know that she's not pregnant.

1:36.0

That's right. I want to have a baby kind of, but I don't want to bore you with baby details right now.

1:43.0

So if you want to know more about my baby, hit me up on Instagram at Rick Glassman. Okay. Now let's go ahead and get on into this week's guest, Ashling Bay.

1:54.0

Ashling is a stand up comedian, writer, and actress. If you haven't seen her stand up, she's incredible. It's easy to find on Netflix. The comedy lineup came out last year.

2:03.0

She also stars opposite Paul Rudd on the new Netflix show, living with yourself. But if there were one thing I'd be promoting of Ashlings, it would be her show this way up.

2:12.0

You could find it out in Hulu. It's six episodes. It's a very easy watch. And it is, it's so, so, so good. So there's an article, Ashling wrote for the Guardian.

2:24.0

I think it was a couple years ago now. I guess that doesn't matter. But the point is, I remember reading this and when I was watching the show this way up, I realized that a lot of this was inspired by Ashling's real life.

2:36.0

Now this article I don't want to talk too much about now. We reference it in the podcast. It is something that we don't talk about. But I do want to make sure I call attention to it because it's a very powerful piece.

2:49.0

Ashling's father died when she was three years old. And it wasn't until she was a teenager that she found out her father took his life.

2:58.0

And years later, when she turned 30, she received a package from where he used to work and was given more information about his life. And the story on its own is, like I said, just very powerful. But the way she writes it, and I did read it again before she came in from the interview.

3:13.0

And I'm at my desk crying. And I'm already right up before it's also oddly, you're laughing during it sometimes. So anyway, this piece, I'm going to put a link in the description.
