to support getting medical care and resources to the people who need it the most, the civilians.

We chat extensively about expectations versus reality of what war looks like and what's going

on today in Ukraine.

Charles, thanks so much for coming on. We've chatted quite a bit over the past year or so around

various stuff on social media. So it's

really cool to have you on and to talk about some of the really important and interesting

work you're doing right now. So could you introduce yourself first and we'll go from there?

Yeah, absolutely. It's honestly pretty surreal to be on a podcast that I've followed primarily from its meme page.

And I'm one of the followers who has not actually listened to, I would say I've listened

about five or six episodes of the podcast.

So I'm one of those ones that you're constantly encouraging to not only follow the meme

page, but also go and check out the podcast. And

every time I do, it's very rewarding. But yep, I'm Charles McBride. I do not know how to

categorize who I am or what I do, to be honest. I live in Los Angeles. I make wildly

unpredictable internet content. I'm kind of a freelance graphic designer, web designer, social media type consultant,

occasionally writer.

And yeah, I've dedicated the last four or five years to various kind of nonprofit work,

which has made me incredibly skeptical of nonprofit work, which is something that we have

been there.
