As many of our regular listeners know, we often deal with complex issues involved in the local

political scene but this week we are trying to get our arms around a very big topic indeed

that of AI artificial intelligence and its governance now of course you could leave this to myself

and Simon but that would kind of be like giving

a cow a musket and a mule-l spinning wheel.

So rather than us try and deal with something far beyond our understanding, Simon, we've

got a guest.

We have indeed.

We're joined this evening by Robert Whitfield, who's the chair of the One World Trust, and has written

some interesting articles and papers on those issues. I've put some links to those into the

chat for everybody. So welcome to the show, Robert. Thank you very much. Good to be here.

going to be much better informed by listening to what you've got to say than what we have on

the subject. So, um, so just to help us, um, understand your, your background a, uh, a bit

more if that's okay. Do you want just, um, introducing yourself, um, how you got involved

with, with this subject? Uh, yes. I mean, my, this is not something I've grown up with.

My background was in business, in, particularly in aerospace, in Airbus,

where I had various senior management positions.
