British Army Richard served in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan before he was promoted

to the rank of general, equivalent to a four-star in the United States and led the UK's

Joint Forces Command. With a budget of over 4 billion pounds the JFC had broad responsibilities

across Britain's armed forces including but not limited to Special Forces military intelligence and cyber operations.

I really wanted to speak with Richard because the prospect of stumbling into some kind of

catastrophic conflict seems closer now that at any time since the height of the Cold War.
