You're going to be. Oh, In 1949 the devil came to St. Louis or at least some version of him did according to the stories

newspaper accounts eyewitness eyewitness testimonies, and a terrifying

mishmash of legends that have been told and re-told over the last 70 years.

The events of the St. Louis Exercism have inspired books, documentaries, and even one very famous horror film, and while it is, without a doubt, the greatest unsolved mystery in the city's history, it's also become such a strange mixture of fiction and fact

that it's hard to know where truth ends and fantasy begins. With this series

within a series of the podcast, we're hoping to fix that. This is part two of our

look into the St. Louis exorcism story, so if you're joining us for the first time

we suggest that you go back to episode 29 where the story begins.

Everything about this story is confusing enough,

and we don't want to make it any worse by having you start in the middle.

Our plan is to try and get to the bottom of this mysterious story even with all the

unanswered questions that have been left behind. I first began researching this story in the

early 1990s and went on to write three different editions of a book on the

case and my intent has always

been to separate truth from fiction. What part of the story that so many of us have

come to know is wishful thinking and what part of it really took place.
