Summary

The Lakers dropped their preseason finale on Thursday night, but in the process gave us even more insight into the type of team they're trying to be and the preferred style they want to play. Pete, Mike, and Darius discuss how speed, tempo, and creating chaos are pillars of the Lakers approach and how well it's working so far. Later, the guys talk about LeBron's strong play, an improving Russ, and some of their final thoughts on the team now that preseason is over.

He wants that. If you give him that space, he's going to be like, all right, I'm going to take this shot. And so he hits the three, now we're up by three. Next play down, we got the ball lebron posts up they kind they zone him up

1:34.7

on the opposite wing or on the opposite corner and mellow attacks the close out driving baseline

1:40.5

and his read on that play is either to score right with the layup at rim, or LeBron on a cut or skip to Bays in the corner.

1:48.5

LeBron cuts a little bit late and draws the help, but it ends up in a turnover, right? And so that's

1:56.1

going to happen. Those types of plays right there are part of the lack of familiarity and timing. You live with those.
