Welcome to the program, Felger and Maserati on Friday, November 20th Friday.

0:39.2

You know what that means, Maz?

0:40.5

Yep, agenda free.

0:42.0

One thing and one thing only, and that means it's agenda free Friday, and it's set by your wonderful phone calls.

0:48.4

We'll give you the sponsorship here in a minute, but it is brought you by the Bernardi Auto Group.

0:53.2

I'll give you a full write-up on that here in a second, but the deal is you by the Bernardi Auto Group. I'll give you a full write-up on that here in a second.

0:55.4

But the deal is you set the agenda with your wonderful phone calls, anything from the week we've gotten to or have yet to get to. We got Maz and Murray alongside from our town for Attire Studios. We have opening thoughts while the call screener is populated. Who wants to go first? Marie, do you want to go? Yeah, I'll go first because it's not so much a take as it is a soapbox moment.

1:12.1

I don't vote or make my decisions really based on party lines. I just go with plain old common sense. And right now, common sense would dictate that sports gambling would be legalized in Massachusetts. But considering that this is Massachusetts, and the state's always been known for its red tape, and it's currently run mostly by short-sided morons.

1:29.4

That got shot down again this week.

1:32.1

So I would like to use this opportunity to implore you, the people who not only like to gamble

1:37.3

in Massachusetts, but those of you who also realize how mind-numbingly stupid it is that this state

1:41.8

is losing $50 million a year in tax money.

2:21.1

Go to my Twitter page at Big Jim Murray. At Big Jim Murray. You'll see a link on a pinned tweet right at the top. Pin tweet. See the link. Link was set up by our partners at Draft Kings. You know, full disclosure there. But I'll let you send an email in about a minute. You don't really have to write anything. Just put in your information. This will go to some of those dopey senators who are holding legalized sports gambling up for reasons that still haven't been explained. You don't have to sign up for draft kings. You don't need an account. You just send a message. Have your friends and family send a message? Send messages. Let the senators understand that people want this. People want to be able to bet on sports legally, safely.

2:28.1

So again, at Big Jim Murray on Twitter, pin tweet, click the link, fill it out, and hopefully you don't have to keep going over state lines come January.

2:29.7

Is it officially dead for this year?

2:33.4

No, there's still a chance if you put some pressure on.

3:07.8

There's still an opportunity here in the next month in a few weeks to actually make this happen. Tell me where it stands, meaning there's still sessions of the state Congress that can pass the bill, et cetera. I think there's one more. There's one more shot at this from what I understand. So maybe put some pressure on. Again, we won't have to cross state lines come January because you talk to anyone that lives in like Methuen or on the like Rhode Island border. They're doing it every day. The state's losing this money. It's stupid that we don't have this. I mean, do people literally, I mean, I joke about it, but you drive up 93, you pull over in Salem, make a bet and drive back? Oh, I bet they do, of course. It's the geo-fencing.

3:10.0

Yeah, I'm sorry, Murray.
