So, today on the podcast, we have an AGD episode, and I'm sure many of our listeners have

no idea what this is. But years ago, back before the pandemic, we used to run three or four

of these AGD episodes each year. These were episodes that explored little-known tours experiences behind-the-scenes

opportunities at both Disney World and Disneyland. And at one time, let's say back in 2019,

there were a lot of these things to explore and discuss. AGD stood for, Advanced, Guide to Disney, which were episodes for those

people who had seen most everything and done most everything at both American resorts.

We reviewed some experiences that were free and some that were hundreds of dollars per person. It was a mix.

But our goal in all of this was to explore experiences that might make a trip to Disneyland or

Disney World feel fresh and new. Like most everything at both American resorts, these experiences were all shut down with the pandemic.

And as the pandemic moved towards its end, many things at Disney World and Disneyland

returned to the resorts, from park hopping to buffets, from salon and spa experiences to hugs from

characters. But some things simply never returned. Tables in Wonderland, Dreamlights on the

castle, Jedi training, and also many of the things that Disney calls enchanting extras, those experiences

that used to fill out the resort's offering. Some of them came back, but some of them did not.

At the Magic Kingdom, the Keys to the Kingdom Tour returned, but none of the other tours did.

At Epcot, dive quest returned, but none of the other tours did. At Epcot, dive quest returned,

but none of the walking tours through the pavilions or what was once called future world returned,

with the exception of the Behind the Seeds tour. At Animal Kingdom, Wild Africa Trek returned,

but none of the tours at Hollywood Studios. Also, none of

the Adventures by Disney standalone tours returned, such as backstage magic and the two holiday

offerings. But oddly, in their place, Disney has rolled out a number of bar and lounge experiences,

and I guess I shouldn't say oddly, because before the pandemic, each Wednesday over at GECO,
