Because there's been the argument that tick-tock which is owned by bite dance

Which is a Japanese company. They're sharing information about their users with the Chinese government

So this actually started under Trump and he was working towards banning tick-tock and

forcing that company to sell a majority to an American company

I think Microsoft, but then all of a sudden the election went down and it didn't happen before that so then that just went away and

Now different states have started to enact rules and

Montana might be the first state in the US to enact a complete man on tick-tock their governor

Sign a measure that was more sweeping than the other states to curtail the social media

It's scheduled to take place on the 20 out of the first of January

2024 so next year and like right now a lot of governments in different cities across the country have banned using tick-tock on

Their phones, you know, you can't have it on computers and things like that are their phones

And so that was kind of becoming standard, but now this goes one step further
