Welcome to the Wallace Show Aftercast, all the stuff we did not get to during the course of the show today.

If you've already listened to the regular podcast, we touched a little bit on the attempted assassination of President Trump, which was jarring to watch, you know, in this day and age.

Now like I had seen when I was a kid I saw Ronald Reagan get shot by

John Hinkley Jr. And so I remember seeing that and Brady was the service man that was hit in the line of fire and I kind of went back to those days and like my parents then watched Kennedy, you know, get assassinated and stuff and so like I have a frame of reference for this but

it just seems so implausible today that this would happen and I know there's so much political unrest and it's it's really

sad that somebody demented took these actions and I don't want to get into the politics or the conspiracy theories or who did what or whatever, but I just kind of want to talk about the actual thing.

Like I consumed a bunch of the videos this weekend they were all over my

socials and different shots and things like that rock did you see any of it over the

weekend I know you've been glued to the TV today yeah I saw a lot more today

than I did over the weekend because I try to kind of unplug over the weekend because we have to be so plugged in on weeks.

But I was just shocked at it was even possible it doesn't seem like some kid at 20 would be able to

plan this out and get past the presidential the secret service I mean like how is that how does that I who

knows I mean like there are the elite the way I found out about it was Gavin

sent me a story and I made a joke about it because I didn't think it was like serious

that he had been shot.

Oh, you didn't?

No, no.

Because I had seen another report that was like from like CNN that wasn't saying it was like that big of a deal and so I just

figured it was like firecrackers or shooting in the background or something like that

that's where you mentioned the fire yes and so like I had no idea and then it as it started to unfold I'm like oh my gosh this is horrible and I there are a lot of people that are talking about

Like what the Secret Service knew and didn't know and how could they have missed this roof

especially when people were pointing it out I know that's so crazy people with you know
