1:08.0 | Before we get into all that, take me all the way back. Let's spend five to ten minutes here on who you are, where you came from, your narrative. What is your origin story? |
1:18.0 | That's fair. It's a fair question, you know, because I've only been in the US for a couple of years. |
1:23.0 | And my journey actually started in Auckland, New Zealand. |
1:26.0 | You know, I spent 22, 23 years there just kind of growing up. You know, music was my first passion. |
1:33.0 | You know, every kid grows up loving music. Every kid of a certain age loves to move. |
1:38.0 | But I think at some point, perhaps you're subconscious or you're harder, your soul makes a distinction and decision as to whether or not it's going to stay with you. |
1:47.0 | Yeah. And be more than just an instinctive reaction to something and actually be a passion. And music was very much a passion for me from the very early age. |
1:53.0 | And were your parents passionate about music? |
1:55.0 | Yeah, very much so. My dad's in a radio. |
1:57.0 | But not necessarily from a musical point of view. He was more into the creativity of radio. He made promos and then it ended up running radio stations and stuff. |
2:04.0 | So from business entrepreneurial standpoint? |
2:06.0 | Very much so. Yeah, yeah, yeah, my dad's a business man, really. But with a creative spirit. |
2:10.0 | And my mom has always had music in the house and always really strong record collection. And my grandparents, my grandfather was very musical. |
