Today, health and safety concerns about 5G and the close call that happened just a few weeks back.

Sometimes we on the news talk about things that maybe even we don't fully understand.

I know that was my story a lot when I first graduated from college and covered news and local news and found myself reporting on topics.

I didn't have time to on a daily basis really fully understand and I felt strange reporting on something thinking,

how can I convey this to other people in a way that's clear and comprehensible if I don't even understand it?

Part of a long process I've been through over the decades to try to understand the stories I report in a fair and thorough way,

as much as possible before I try to be somewhat of an authority at least from a fax sense on these topics.

Well, I feel the same way about 5G.

We hear talk of 5G, people say that they have 5G and 5G's being rolled out,

and I didn't really even know what 5G stands for.

What does the G mean? Why the number 5?

It may sound silly if you're somebody who does know these things.

But even when I did an internet search a couple of years ago in doing some research,

it wasn't easy to find answers to this and other basic questions.

Another thing I heard about was that there were safety concerns about 5G and in fact about our cell phones in general,

even before 5G, and these days with the management of information,
