The use of pornography and an addiction to porn can do serious damage to a marriage.

And I'm glad you're here because this might be for you.

I'm John Fuller, joined by Dr. Greg Smalley and his wife, Aaron, and they lead the Focus Marriage Department.

And, Greg, there are so the Focus Marriage Department. And Greg,

there are so many ways that porn can affect a marriage adversely. What are some of the kind of the top

ways? Yeah, they've done lots of research on this. And so these are things that we know to be a fact.

56% of divorces involve one partner, at least one partner, having an obsession

with pornography.

The likelihood of divorce, it roughly, listen to this, doubles for men and women who begin

using pornography.

Pornography was found to be the second strongest predictor of poor marriage satisfaction.

And so you just, you start to put those together. I mean, those are just a few of them. And we know that it has a

horrible impact on a marriage. It's a Pandora's box. When we, when we start crossing those lines

and we bring that into our homes and into our marriage, it's just a ripple effect. It's a snowball

effect of issues and problems you're going to have to deal with. There's just, there's, there is no

upside.

Yeah.

Mm-hmm. And the research also shows that pornography use can increase the marital infidelity rate by

300%.

Oh my goodness.

Wow.

So it is, it's something to pay attention to.
