This is Darislam in Tanzania, one of the fastest growing cities in the whole of Africa.

Some 6 million people currently call Darislam home,

but Darislam's populations grown by a whopping 40% in just a decade.

By the 2030s, it's projected to become a mega city with a population of more than 10 million.

By the end of this century, the United Nations predicts that Africa,

which at least one tenth of the world's population in 1950,

will be home to 40% of humanity.

Most of this staggering demographic growth will take place here in African cities.
