He is also a retired United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, and he has served in Afghanistan so he can see it in his mind's eye. I cannot.

However, I read that there are question marks that have not been answered since the withdrawal in Afghanistan these many

years later. And those question marks include what I learned from a book by Jerry Dunleavy and

James Hasson some year ago, Cabell, the Untold Story, Biden's Diasko, and the American Warriors

who fought to the end. Will, Bill and I have been

talking about the decisions that were made in that last year and that the accountability has

been inadequate. And there's opportunity now to ask questions again of the generals who made

decisions. What is your thinking about this? Is it going to be

helpful to the veterans to know why Bagram, to be very specific, why Bagraim was abandoned?

the opportunity. I am all in favor of having

accountability in Afghanistan. It is desperately needed. I served the last year in Afghanistan as a

United States-era attach. And an air attache for your audience is just a fancy way of saying a military diplomat.

So I was there from June of 2020 to June of 2021.

And then I've been heavily involved in relocating trusted and verified Afghan allies back into the United States.

I would just say that the level of moral injury and the level of suicides has increased in the

United and in the veteran population because of the Afghan, and I call it the Afghan retreat.
