Afghanistan, the Taliban rules Afghanistan, the power of a gun, brutality, sadism, persecution,

all of the nightmares of regimes in the hands of gangsters, pirates is Afghanistan.

And yet this headline from Auschwitz, France, UN reaffirms commitment to stay in Afghanistan.

The United Nations announced early April that the Taliban and barred Afghan women from

employment in UN offices, countrywide, a prohibition that had previously only affected

NGOs but spared the UN.

The UN Mission in Afghanistan subsequently launched the review and concluded that it was

quote, committed to stay and deliver on behalf of the men, women, and children of Afghanistan.

Herein lies the conflict about the UN's ambitions, mission to help people who are clearly

an extreme risk for food security and other depredations and yet at the same time by remaining

in Kabul and bending to the will of the Taliban, what we have is apparent tolerance of brutality

and piracy.
