You know, years ago, I was attending a large convention in Anaheim, California.

I was sitting on the second row in a coliseum of 10,000 people when all of a sudden the famous

preacher, Orwell Roberts, walked in. Well, he stood right in front of me on the front row

next to my dad. My dad leaned over to him, and he said, Mr. Roberts, do you remember my daughter Terry?

Well, out of nowhere, he turned around,

he looked at me, he pointed his finger in my face,

and he said, there's something you're not letting go of.

Now you can see in the picture of the fear all over my face.

Now let me put this in perspective

for you. At that time in my life, I was filled with insecurities, low self-esteem. I had a

compulsive fear of rejection. In fact, I'm not making up that term. That's what one of those

personality quizzes actually said about me.

Not to mention, I was painfully shy and consumed

with feelings of shame and guilt over my past.

Well, when he did that and said that to me,

TV cameras in the Coliseum turned in on him and me,

and there I was standing in front of all those people

so embarrassed. Then he told me to lift my hands, so I did, and he started hitting my elbows

and shouting, let go, let go, let go, like three times. Now you might think, wow, what a powerful moment.

But for me, I was so embarrassed and totally confused. I had no idea what I was supposed to let go of.
