He writes, in my late 30s, I'm in my late 30s,

I'm in my late 30s, and I live in London, England. In group therapy I opened up about the sexual abuse I endured as a child at the hand of my mother.

This went on for many years, the sexual abuse with my mother as a child.

I understand why she did this though.

She was never given any love as a child.

Her parents didn't want her and she was beaten on a daily basis as a child. I assume that's why

she desperately craved love and attention and she used me for it. Problem is to this very day

she regularly tells me that she's obsessed and in love with me

and wants to be physically close to me, despite the fact that I am gay and now married. My partner has witnessed her behavior and is

disgusted by it, as am I. I try my best to be as distant as I can and everyone

tells me to sever all ties with her, but I know for a fact that it would kill her.

She gets drunk and is emotionally extremely fragile and I just couldn't live with myself if she did anything to herself.

What is this inappropriate love from a parent towards a child called?

Is it some kind of reverse edipus complex, end of email.

That is rough the exploitation of a parent in that way is is a

terrible thing to go through we deserve parents who love us and respect our boundaries and raise

us well and I'm so sorry that you went through that.
