Doug is one of the most important intellectuals of our time. Some people call him a futurist, but to be

honest, he's always kind of a step ahead of the future. He looks at culture, economy, and technology,

and he's been advising us for decades from his living dynamic perspective. This is the continuation of the conversation we had on Doug's podcast,

Team Human, where we talked about how the world is responding collectively to this moment

and also the wisdom of the fool, like the full tarot card or just the beginner.

We met over 20 years ago at a small conference in New York State, centering around the disinformation media group.

I was there in the audience, and also who was there?

Grant Morrison, Richard Mensker, the visionary artist Paul

Loughley, and Howard Bloom, was part of the movement at that time to liberate conspiracy theories

and magic and counterculture and outsider art from its brisk dismissal in the public sphere.

Now, a lot of that is mainstream now, and not to mention, kind of damaging.

But at the time, before all those things were seized by overtly political agendas,

they gave us ways to see the interconnections in the world between art, science, theology, philosophy, social sciences,

they showed us these layers of fractal resonance. It was a really cool time. Doug has been

working pretty endlessly and profoundly since then, and somewhere along the way I entered

into the public sphere myself.
