Friends, this episode features Reverend Jonah Evans and Reverend Patrick Kennedy,

co-directors of the Seminary of the Christian Community in North America,

When I say Christian community, I don't mean it as just

some vague term. I mean it as a proper noun. The Christian community is the religious movement

renewed by collaboration with Rudolf Steiner. If you'd like to know more about that,

you can listen to episode 181, where I talk with Patrick

about just that. Patrick and Jonah have both been on the show before, but they've since

taken on new roles since then. So Patrick is part of the Circle of Seven, which is an international

group in central leadership for the Christian community for the world, and Jonah serves as the North American Lanker, which is a role which coordinates congregations.

Over the years, I've had many amazing spiritual conversations with them both,

marked by their honesty, their openness, and they're striving to live up to the everyday offerings of the spiritual

world. They practice a spirituality that is not in any way anti-intellectual or mere mystification

of spiritual dogma, but instead, a profoundly articulated understanding of a religious life that gets

its strength not just from

belief but from striving to know, striving towards or holding wisdom.

I am myself, an esoteric Christian, of course, as you might know from listening to the show,

but I don't offer any of this to listeners
