I don't mean science in the dull and deadened way science is spoken about mostly today.

Right now, science primarily finds its way into our consciousness through struggles. There are struggles about

pharmaceuticals or AI or climate change. Science finds itself located in tensions and the low

hums of everyday anxiety. These tensions and battles leave all sorts of new holes and questions

and create plenty of rubble

and ruins to sort through as well.

They're not neat and easy conflicts wherein one side wins out against the other.

This has been the case since I've been alive.

I'm thinking of when I was younger and evolution was challenged by creationism.
