Hello, friends. This is Against Everyone with Connor Abeeb. This is now the fifth episode in the series on occult and esoteric Christianity. I think I've got a few more in my pocket, but they're all very different. This is all about the evolving tradition of esoteric Christianity that offers vitalizing insight into how to move forward

in our world. Across the episodes, I've been talking about different streams and fruits and

figures in occult and esoteric Christianity rather than presenting the typically dogmatic, dominating,

and totalizing Christianity, which is always in danger of being

seized by people, especially conservatives. Let's face it, in power. This series is presenting a

different end, I see it as truer form of Christianity, open, wounded, individuated, powerless,

a tradition that relates Christianity to other spiritual paths

without seeking to control or diminish them. So far, I've had two priests, reverence

from the Christian community, which is inspired by the esoteric work of Rudolf Steiner on.

This episode, I wanted to talk about how esoteric Christianity is unfolding into new tasks, new work, new mysteries, particularly what I am calling, and other people are calling the new mysteries of the heart.

What does that even mean? Of course, it's not quite clear. But to discuss all that in a clear but in-depth

way, I invited writer and teacher Lisa Romero back onto the show. Before I introduced Lisa in the episode,

I want to say, you know, some of the things that have been coming up for me is what does it

mean to change ourselves and change the world at the same time? I mean, there's so much

tension there about, well, you can't just change the world by doing, you know, work on yourself

and you can't really get to where you're going in the world unless you do work on yourself.

So how do you do that?

And what would esoteric Christianity have to offer that?

Well, I think quite a bit, actually.

But how do we enter into the political realm by doing spiritual work?
