I just wanted to touch on something that came up for me as I was

recording with O Yenkin and when I looked into her work. She is, yes, the author of the best-selling

novel, My Sister The Serial Killer, But she also does spoken word. She also does lots of illustrations.

And it really got me to think about how lonely it can be to pursue all the things you want to do at once.

It becomes lonely in a lot of ways.

I, as someone who does so many things, I realize I can sound snotty, as one who does many endeavors,

but what I mean is who's pursued a lot of different

pathways um I have encountered the difficulty of showing people that that's okay and in fact

that was a big part of my project starting a long time ago um when I wanted to make sure that publicly, I could

demonstrate a fully kind of integrated person, someone who was spiritual but sexual, but intellectual,

but intellectual, but ridiculous, profane and sacred and scientific all at once, that all the

sides of my personality could be something that would be public because I wanted people to see

that's possible. So that was a sort of Uber project for a while. And that was

definitely before really social media took hold. I mean, there was some social media when I began

that project, but not as much. And certainly it wasn't just a part of our everyday lives and I really wanted to

show people hey look this is what you can be you don't have to section off

aspects of your creativity of yourself of what you want to do in the world and
