Friends, friends, friends, here we are in this weird version of the world with each other. A lot has changed since the last episode

came out. And I want to say in the absolute rush of the news cycle, you know, you might feel

claustrophobic, scared, and anxious. So I'm very happy to share this episode with you and to be

here with you in this moment right now. And I'm wondering if we are

forgetting about magic, about spirituality in this time, about something like Alejandro

Hodorowski's declaration about magic, where he says, magic in thought means everything is possible.

Because right now is a time for possibilities, not limits, even as we sort of go indoors

and lock ourselves away and create borders of whether it's fear or distancing or whatever it might be.

So to that end, I invited one of the most expansive and perceptive thinkers I know,

author, magician, and Rune Suit podcast host, Gordon White, onto the show.

Gordon's voice is totally essential in this time,

not just because he's a systems thinker, but because he's a systems thinker who considers the non-physical dimension, the spiritual in his assessment

of things. So Gordon and I talk a lot in this episode about the pandemic, but we slowly weave spirituality in, and then at a certain

point we just really go with it. We talk about the spiritual currents in, informing, and causing

some of the events in our moment, and we turn our attention to what I think is an extremely

important, as well as potent and profound question,

which is, what are spirits? And why would that matter right now? Because talking about spirits

is a remedy of sorts to whatever is going on, because it reminds us of all the sort of infolded beings and consciousnesses

around us that allow us to see the world and see the situation quite differently than we might

if we're in our anxieties and fears and just sort of passively spectating on what's happening
