A.W. had over 13,000 people in the little Caesars Arena tonight for their debut in Detroit,

not a bad house for their first time in the market,

for a special Blood and Guts episode of Dynamite.

This entire episode was built around the second ever Blood and Guts match.

We all remember the first one, most people remember the ending to the first one

when Chris Jericho took that comical bump off the top of the cage onto the very obvious crash pads down below at Daily's Place.

This time, a very different environment. They were not in Daily's Place.

Again, they were on the road, packed crowd, hot crowd.

This crowd was amped up all night long. The energy and the building had really made the show that much more enjoyable.

And when these two teams first came together, it actually opened with Sammy Guevara and Claudio.

This was Claudio Castignoli's first night on Dynamite, and he's at one end of the cage and one ring.

Sammy's on the other end of the ring or other end of the cage and the other ring, I should say.

And there was this feeling, there was this energy, this vibe in the air really felt like these two teams were about to go to war.

It's the kind of feeling that you look for when you have a war games match.

You want to have a match where the crowd is into it.

These guys look like they're ready to beat the living hell out of each other.

And that's what they gave us.

And not a bad night for Claudio because for his very first appearance on Dynamite,

not only was he part of a blood and guts match, he won the match for his team.

Not a bad way to start out your AW career.

That was a delightfully brutal main event.

It delivered exactly what was advertised for a show that was built entirely around blood and guts.
