On Sunday at Double or Nothing, A.E.W. opened the show with the women's final in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament. They closed the show with the men's final. And tonight they did the exact opposite. They opened the show with the men, one of whom was the winner of the Owen, that being Hangman Adam Page. And they closed the show with the winner of the women's Owen,

Mercedes-Money, coming out to confront her challenger at all in Texas for the AW Women's World Championship. Timeless Tony Storm comes out, and they close the show with the two women having

their first formal face-to-face confrontation in the middle of the ring 45 days we have 45 days to go

until all in texas until they have their match and that's going to be a long 45 days depending on

what they do between now and then because we've seen seen this before, where they don't always necessarily

have the best segments in between to fill the gap from show to show. But here you have two of the

biggest, not even two of the biggest, the two biggest female stars, two of the biggest stars,

two of the biggest stars, period, in the entire company. I sure hope they can come up with some compelling television to keep us occupied for these

next 45 days until we get to the match because we still have a waste to go.

The main event segment, it was fine as an introductory segment between the two of them.

What I'll be looking for is to see in the weeks to come.

How do they put some real heat?

How do they throw some real gasoline on the fire here to get us interested in this match?

Now, it's going to be a great match.

First time meeting here in this company since Mercedes came to AEW.

But what are they really going to do to heat this thing up between now and then?

Tonight it was more about the two of them being out there. It was almost like a mutual

appreciation or a mutual admiration society where they were putting each other over

in their journeys to get to where they are. I want to see more than that in the coming

weeks. How do they get there? You know, what are we going to get? It's too early to decide, you know, how the build is going to go.

And, you know, I have my thoughts about how we got here and why I think doing this match in the first place is a mistake.
