Tonight was the first AEW Dynamite in the month of December, and this is your review for the said first show in December here.

Your first AEW Dynamite review in the final month of 2021. I am the Salomonster. Hope you guys are having a great night.

That was not a finish. I was expecting to this show. I thought that was a completely unnecessary finish to tonight's episode of Dynamite.

I went from what I thought was definitely not as strong of an episode as the one we got last week.

It was definitely a couple of steps down from last week, and then all of a sudden we go from like zero to a hundred.

We end the night with a flaming table people on fire. What is going on here?

I'll tell you what's going on here. Cody Rhodes is feeling the heat from these crowd. Well, he's literally feeling the heat at the end of the show tonight.

But what's going on is that Cody is not getting these very kind reactions that he used to be getting.

And so he is not. He seems bound and determined to not turn heel. He is trying to win these fans over.

He thought he would go above and beyond tonight in Atlanta. Maybe Atlanta has a special place in his heart because of his father's history in the city of Atlanta.

But I got a mixed reaction in that match tonight. And I think Cody is trying to win the crowd back over in his favor.

And he goes out there tonight and he does this ridiculous stunt. Brandy Rhodes makes her return. We haven't seen her in a while.

And she for some reason shows up in a disguise. I'm not quite sure why I guess for the big reveal. That was kind of goofy.

And then sets a table on fire lighter fluid. And Cody suplexes on dry. I off the top rope down through a table on dry.

By the way, completely missing the table. Cody doing his best Mick Foley impersonation. He's trying to pop the crowd.

I just thought it was stupid. And completely unnecessary.

We also found out tonight that Hangman page is going to defend his AW world championship in two weeks.

We are getting the winter is coming episode of dynamite on December 15th. And it will be Ryan Danielson challenging Hangman page for the AW world title.

Surprising. I thought they would hold off until maybe the first episode of dynamite on TBS at the beginning of the new year.

We have battle of the belts coming up right after that, but they're not wasted any time here. So we're getting our championship match in two weeks.
