Yeah, I just got, you know, excited because we're talking about water filters, but of course,

there's the permitheren and the insect repellent and the number of other products that Sawyer carries which reminds me I've got a

Permithrin all my clothing because tis the season yes but Katie what I want to talk about today is the water filter technology because I've had people ask me this question. When I was a volunteer with the Boy Scouts, we bought them for our kids and I actually had two or three parents say,

that little filter is really going to clean the water that my child's going to be drinking.

Tell us a little bit about the technology and why we should be trusting it.

Absolutely, I would love to.

Talking the technical aspect of the Sawyer water filters is one of my favorite things

because I get to tell people how it's like truly

industry leading and how it's truly keeping you the most protected that you can be in the

back country. So I guess to start off I want to differentiate between filtration and purification.

Filtration is a physical separation by size.

So specifically what's going on in our little Sawyer filters. We've got the

mini, we've got the squeeze, we have other kinds of applications, we have a tap

filter and inside all of them is the exact same thing. It's called a hollow fiber membrane.
