Hello and welcome to the Truth Seekers podcast.

Today's episode is the second day in our Advent series as we look forward to Christmas. Do you remember what the word Advent means?

Advent means coming.

And as Christians, we celebrate the first coming of Jesus when he was born as a baby in Bethlehem.

We also look forward to the second coming of Jesus when he will return again one day.

The night Jesus was born was a special night. Creation looked on with awe and wonder.

God himself came down from heaven and took the form of man.

Jesus coming was special.

It meant hope, hope for a world lost in sin.

Do you remember how the Bible begins?

In Genesis 1 verse 1, it says, In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. God made everything we see.

The sun, the moon, the stars, the sky, the land, the plants, the fish, the animals. And most

importantly, God made humans. He made you and me. The first humans were Adam and Eve. And when God made them, there was no sin in the world. Everything was perfect and beautiful. The psalmist says in Psalm 104 verses 24 through 25. How many are your works, O Lord? In wisdom, you made them all. The earth is full of your

creatures. There is the sea vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number, living things

both large and small. God looked at all he had made and called it good. But sadly, Adam and Eve chose to disobey God, and when they did, sin entered the world.

When sin entered the world, everything changed.

Ever since that day, sin and death have been a part of the world.

But God had a plan. Even before God created the world, he had a plan.

Romans chapter 8 verse 19 says,

The creation waits an eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.

The night Jesus was born all of creation held its breath.
