Hello and welcome to the Truth Seekers podcast.

Today's episode begins a special Advent series leading up to Christmas.

Are you excited about Christmas? I know I am. I love Christmas in

this time of year. I love the snow and the lights and the decorations on the tree. But most

of all, I love what Christmas means. Christmas is a special time of year where we celebrate

the birth of Jesus. For many years years Christians, just like you and me,

have looked forward to celebrating Jesus at Christmas. Have you ever been so excited for Christmas

that you started counting the days anxiously waiting for Christmas Day to arrive? Well, that's exactly what many Christians have done over the years.

Many Christians in the church observe what is called Advent. Can you say Advent? Advent means coming,

and it's a word of anticipation and excitement that has to do with waiting and looking forward

to something.

Advent usually begins four weeks before Christmas and is a time of remembering Jesus coming

to earth.

It's also a time of looking forward to the day when he will come back again for us he came

once and he will come again I would love for you to join me as I observe

Advent for the next 24 days until Christmas for each day of Advent I will have a

scripture reading a reflection and a prayer as we prepare our hearts

for what it means to really celebrate Christmas. Would you like to join me? Oh, I'm so glad. Since today

is the first day of Advent, today is our first Advent reflection.
