Hello and welcome back to the Truth Seekers podcast.

We are counting the days to Christmas and today is day 17 as we observe Advent and remember Jesus coming.

When Jesus was born, a brilliant and bright

star appeared in the sky, more brilliant and bright than the other stars around it. And far away

in the east lived wise men who had been studying the stars in the sky. They also had been studying

the prophecies of the prophets Micah and

Isaiah and others. They knew from what they read that a Messiah, an anointed king, was to be

born. When the star appeared in the sky, they knew that it was the sign that marked the

birth of a great king, the king of the Jews. They noted the time and day

of the star's appearance, and they set out at once to find their king. The wise men were not

content to stay home when they knew a king had been born. Everything inside of them told them

they must go and find this king.

They had been reading the scriptures and studying God's word.

They knew the truth and the truth led them to Jesus.

The more we read the Bible and the more we pray, the closer we become to God.

And it is God who gives us His wisdom, and his wisdom always leads us to Jesus.

The wise men were wise because they continued to seek the king. They wanted to find him and see him

with their own eyes and to worship him. We should never be content to stay as we are. God rewards

those who seek him. When we realize the treasure

that Jesus is, we will want to spend our whole lives becoming closer and closer to Him.

God's heart is so pleased when we pray to Him and spend time with Him and worship Him.
