Hello once again my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. Hope you're ready

to get your mind aligned with the truth of God and I want to remind you coming up on Friday

every Friday. So we're a week away right now. We do our pray together episodes. Hopefully

you heard that yesterday and you joined in with me in praying for the needs of others.

dot com slash prayer we would love to pray for you. Now I'm very excited today as I've been thinking

about and praying about the upcoming Christmas season. I thought that it might be good for you

and for me to join together this year in celebrating a season leading up to Christmas that is called

Advent. Now if you're not familiar with the term Advent that's okay. I want to describe for

you today what Advent really is what it's all about how it came about and how we can celebrate

together. I think this is something the Lord's leading me into because it's not something I grew

up celebrating even though I grew up in the church. Is he Advent? Is a period or a season of spiritual

preparation in which many people who observe it make themselves ready for the coming or the

birth of Jesus. It's looking forward to Christmas day and the celebration of his birth as a baby.

Celebrating Advent typically involves lots of prayer sometimes fasting,

turning your heart toward repentance followed by an anticipation of hope and joy that comes

from the gift of Jesus that was given to us by the Father. Many Christians will celebrate Advent

not just by thinking God for Christ coming to earth as a baby, but also thanking God for Jesus

presence among us today through the Holy Spirit and His real, very real living within our lives

and in our hearts. And then beyond that we also are anticipating His final coming at the end of the
