Though it's often difficult to believe that God is working for our good,

in today's message from David Platt out of Ruth Chapter 2,

we're reminded of God's steadfast love, a love that seeks the hurting

and shelters the vulnerable. As we wait for him, we can trust him based on his character

and his past faithfulness. Here's Pastor David with the

part two of the Advent sermon Hope for the Herding from Ruth Chapter 2.

Today we come to the second Sunday of a three-part series on Hope in the Book of Ruth, and I cannot

wait to dive back into this story. I'm praying that much like last week

you will be freshly encouraged today not just by hearing this story but by

seeing yourself right where you are sitting in this story.

That today some people's lives might be forever changed,

not just by hearing the story but by realizing that you're a part of a much bigger

story that includes God's love for you. So if you weren't here last week let me

catch you up on where we are in the story of Ruth, a love story that is far better than any movie you could watch or romance novel you could read in our culture today.
