If you have a Bible and I hope you or somebody around you does, you can look on with it. Let me invite you to open with me to Ruth Chapter 1.

Ruth in the very, and near the beginning of the Bible, chapter one, as I was praying through where we might go in God's word in these three weeks leading up to Christmas,

after reading through the whole story of scripture over the last year I thought what do you do after that

and that's when my mind was drawn to my favorite book in the Old Testament the book of Ruth.

I love this book of the Bible and I'm hoping that over the next three short weeks you will

grow to love it as well and in the end you will see how it leads us in a surprising way right to a stable in Bethlehem.

So Ruth has all the elements of a love story.
