I first tried this series in 2024, but today is the first sermon for a new 2026 playlist as we begin a new liturgical year this evening.  I will try to finish up the year of weekly sermons here.  Future sermons for [...]

Hello, this is Father David Nix. I am thrilled to tell you about my new Sunday sermon series.

0:04.7

We tried it in the past, but we are restarting it. This is a new series starting Advent of 2025, but especially for the full year of 2026.

And this will be based on the readings in the old calendar. So here's my goal. My goal is to release a sermon for the weekend, really for

0:22.8

Sunday, but I'm going to release it most Saturday evenings. Now, there's going to be some

0:27.6

exceptions to that, like the vigil to certain feasts like the Immacal Conception. I will try to get

0:32.1

that sermon up specifically before I fly to Rome for the LifeSight News Forum next week, but I can't

0:37.2

guarantee it. But anyway, I'm going to do News Forum next week, but I can't guarantee it.

0:38.1

But anyway, I'm going to do this series for you, and then you can choose it either to supplement

0:43.0

My goal is to release this at 4 p.m. My time, which is

0:55.9

Mountain Standard Time, which is 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on the East Coast. And for the few of you

1:02.2

in Europe listening, that will be 2,300 Zulu or 2300 UTC. And so that's all Saturday

1:09.6

times. Saturday afternoon and Saturday night I'm going to release it,

1:13.0

but all of these pertain to the traditional Latin mass readings for Sundays, again, except for a couple

1:18.5

exceptions like big feasts. Now, of course, many traditional sermons in the past, and even today,

1:25.2

used to be catechetical. So there'd be, for example, entire series

1:29.2

for a couple months. But the reason I'm not going to do that is because you can listen to my

1:33.7

CPX Catechism of Pius X or my RCT Roman Catechism of Trent series if you want to learn

1:41.6

catechesis. That means that for this Sunday sermon series SSS, I'm going to preach on the

1:47.7

scripture readings of the day and we're often going to look at the Greek. Now, a few of you,

1:53.2

very few of you might think this doesn't sound very traditional to preach from the Greek and preach
