Hello again and welcome back to Kids' Bible Stories. Today is day one in our Advent

series, and today's story is called, The Lord is Coming. This comes from Luke 1 verses

30 to 32.

The angel said to her,

Don't be afraid, Mary, because God is pleased with you. Listen, you will become pregnant,

you will give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great, and people

will call him the son of the most high.

I imagine that on that day, Mary had a very normal day in her town. She probably completed

her chores like she did the day before. She worked hard. I bet she served her family,

making care of their animals and gardens. That night, she probably knelt down to pray

as she did every night.

Oh God, thank you for another day. Thank you for giving me each and every breath. I love

you, Lord, and I pray that I can serve you all of my days. Please, Lord, use my life

for your glory. Amen.

Mary laid her head on her pillow. It wasn't as soft as she wished it was, but she was tired

and it was enough. Slowly, she drifted off to sleep.

I wonder what she was dreaming about. Do you think she was dreaming of flying over fields?

Or maybe she was a princess fighting a fierce dragon in her dreams? Maybe she was dreaming
